Blue and Gold Apron

I made my mom an apron! She works at a school whose colors are blue and gold, and whose mascot is a shark. She had to decorate a bunch of cookies at the school, and wanted a cute apron to wear. I, of course, was happy to oblige. Especially since it required a special trip to the fabric store.

I gave it two pockets because I know my mom likes pockets. And the shark is just appliqued on, and is supposed to look like it's coming up out of the water...

The apron is way cuter than this picture shows. (So am I) I got so many compliments on it. I told everyone that my wonderful daughter made it for me!

I like how Jan is wearing a shirt that matches the gold trim on her apron. Was that on purpose? OR is that just what women do usually?

I'm sure it was on purpose. It was for a thing at her school and so she was supposed to dress up in blue and gold.
